Robert A. Moulton, DO
Dr. Moulton was born in Manhattan, Kansas and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He obtained his degree in medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, where he was appointed administrative chief in his last year of residency. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Moulton practiced with The Women's Healthcare Group from 2003 before joining Midwest Hemorrhoid Treatment Center. He has a special interest in advanced laparoscopy and enjoys educating his patients on all treatment options available to them. Dr. Moulton is married, has two children, and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Michael A. Proffitt, MD
Dr. Proffitt was born and raised in the small town of Van Wert, Ohio. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University on a business scholarship. After working for nearly ten years in business, he experienced medicine from a very personal perspective – as a parent at his own child's bedside. The experience motivated him to pursue medicine as a career and has made him a more caring Physician.
Dr. Proffitt received his degree in medicine from Vanderbilt University in 1999, where he graduated first in his class and was voted as the graduate that fellow classmates would most like to have as their own personal Physician. He completed his residency at Wright State University, where he was co-administrative chief with Dr. Moulton, and received the John J. Halki Exemplary-Physician award.
After residency, Dr. Proffitt served in the Air Force as staff OB/GYN at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He also held a faculty teaching position at the Uniformed Health Sciences University School of Medicine and was appointed by the Air Force Surgeon General to serve on a national healthcare committee. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Outside of work, Dr. Proffitt lives in Leawood with his wife and their three children. His personal time is largely spent in family activities and attending his children's multiple sporting events. His wife is an avid runner, and the whole family loves snow skiing.
