Do I need a referral?

We do not require a referral for you to be seen at Midwest Hemorrhoid Treatment Center. However, your insurance plan may require you to have a referral. You may want to call your insurance company to verify your coverage.

Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Please call our office at (913) 451-0600 to schedule an appointment, and we will be happy to accommodate you as quickly as possible.

Will my insurance cover treatments?

Most insurance plans cover Infrared Coagulation (IRC) and other services provided by Midwest Hemorrhoid Treatment Center. Services may consist of a co-pay, applied to deductible or coinsurance. Please contact your insurance company for more information.

What is Coinsurance?

Coinsurance represents your share of the costs for a health care service. Typically, it is the percentage of the amount we allow to be charged for services. You begin paying coinsurance once you have paid your plan's deductible.

What is a Deductible?

A deductible is the amount you are required to pay for health care services prior to payment issued by  your health insurance.

What is a Copay?

A copay is a fixed amount you pay for a health care service, usually when you receive the service. The amount may vary depending on the type of healthcare service you receive. You may also have a copay when you get a prescription filled.

If your insurance requires you to pay a copay, you will need to bring a copay with you to each office visit. The copay may be listed on your insurance card.

What do I bring with me to my office visit(s)?
  • Photo ID
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Co-pay
  • Medication List

If you do not have these, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment(s).

What should I expect on the first visit?
  • Fill out paperwork
  • Consultation with the Physician
  • Exam

If possible, we try to treat you the same day. However, some procedures require more than one treatment.

How do I know what type of treatment I need?

You will need to schedule an office visit and come in for a consultation and exam to be evaluated for your best treatment options. If possible, same-day treatment is available.

If you have any other questions regarding services at Midwest Hemorrhoid Treatment Center, please call us at (913) 451-0600, and we will be happy to answer them.
